Happy Friday!! I am happy!! My child is coming home! Lena and family are coming to visit!! My house looks like a home!! I went to the beach 2 days in a row!! I am happy!! We still have some things that we want to get done before the Mayneclan arrives, however the big stuff is out of the way and we are quite pleased at the things that we have accomplished. The only thing that I think that would add some interest here is colour. The walls are white and white and whiter!! I am not going to spend the time or money on paint for the short amount of time we will be here, however I was tempted. Now, the biggest thing that pisses me off is the shape of the backyard. I worked very hard yesterday to make it look OK, however it's full of weeds and bare patches and lots of hard dusty ground. Very discouraging. I want to resod one side and put down patio stones on the other and I think that I can talk Thierry into that although he will be unhappy as I know that he doesn't want to spend money on this yard. It really is deplorable and I can't believe that it was in this state. I know that my yard in Ottawa was left in great condition and the folks that move in there are very lucky. It has been a busy week for Thierry and I and we are exhausted and happy. Cheers and have a great weekend!! :)

I have internet!!! WWWAAAHHHOOO! We are currently much more set up in the house now and things actually look OK. You will see it on Friday Lena. I am very pleased with some rooms and not so pleased with others. It's only 1 year. I just got back from walking the dog and I have found a really great spot to walk. It's better and longer than the walk in Ottawa, just a little further from my house. I am thinking that this is good and maybe I will be losing some weight. I am going to be working on the rooms upstairs today, although I find it really hard to leave the downstairs. I am constantly finding something that I can do downstairs and now the focus needs to be in Pascalle's room. I need to iron and hang curtains and Thierry is going to put up her bookshelf on the wall. Her room is quite organized, so it won't take long. We have some finishing touches in our room and the bathroom and then it's the "office" from hell. We wanted the computer in the office, however that wasn't possible and we are in the basement on the computer. Oh well, I am thankful that I have the computer and that we are able to keep in close touch with everyone. I am going to send y'all my new email address and then the emails better start coming in by the ton!!!! For now....Cheers

Hi there!! We are currently at Lena's house and I thought that I would just check in and update y'all. Our move went well and we have nothing broken...at least at this point. The house is in a state of koas and I am glad to be here and not there!! We have been told that this place is bigger than the one that we left in Ottawa, however we are thinking that this is wrong. I am having a hard time finding room for my stuff and both of us are getting very frustrated. The basement of course is the dumping ground for everything. We are going to get it done by Tuesday...all of it. I want to get outside and work on the back yard. I know that we aren't staying in Greenwood for long, however the back yard is pathetic. Thierry said to housing that "the yard is in a very sorry state". He put the shed together and we are pleased with the way it went up and how it looks. Gotta go!! Cheers

Hello there!! I am at my MIL's house and thought that I would post quickly. We got here yesterday and finally got to see the girl. Gramma took us out for dinner last night and we came back to her place and had a pjyama party. We all put our pj's on and looked at pictures. This morning we are getting ready to go to Thierry's brother's place for a big party. He is turning 40 and this will be the last time we see him for a long time. We will be on the road tomorrow morning and we will be spending 2 nights in St. John. There is a big indoor market in St. John and I am sure that we will be spending some time there. We will be taking the ferry across to Digby. This is a 3 hour ferry ride and we are hoping to see some whale activity on the way. The movers will be at our house on Wednesday, first thing in the morning and the fun will start. Lena, I am not sure when we will have phone service (because of the strike) so I will get in contact with you and let you know when we are bringing the girl to your place. She is very excited to see Becky and probably not too excited about helping to set up our new house. Thierry's mom is calling us the homeless people!! Ha! I am typing on a French keyboard here and I am having trouble. I will post again soon!! Hope that all is well with everyone! Cheers

So this will be my last post for awhile...we are losing our cable tomorrow. The basement is packed. It took 5 1/2 hours and thank god it's done. The living room and dining room are done and the kitchen and upstairs will be done tomorrow. We will be in the hotel tomorrow and I am really looking forward to air conditioning!! It's humid as hell here and I am melting. I am currently in the process of doing laundry before I lose my washer and dryer and we are going to sit and watch a movie. Hope that all is well with every one and I will catch you on the flip side in Nova Scotia!!! Cheers

It's packing day in the Duhamel household. They have sent only one guy and he's really in for a big job. I still don't believe how much stuff we have. Considering that I have spent most of the winter pitching stuff in the garbage, one would think there would be less to pack...not the case!! He is working on the books right now and that will take some time. Thierry took Blue to the kennel with no problems and he will be flown in next week. He was a good boy on the drive to the kennel. We borrowed a friend's van and put his cage in the back and apparently he never said boo. He does not travel well and I guess it's because he need to be in his cage. We don't have enough room in the car for the cage...we will fix that at a later date...we need a truck!! Gotta go...Cheers for now!!

We have been busy and the day is finally here...the packers are coming tomorrow. Thierry is taking Blue to the kennel and they will fly him to Halifax when we are settled and ready to pick him up. Pascalle and the cat are at Gramma's and the house is not the same. The pictures are off the walls and there is shit everywhere!!! WE ARE MOVING!! OMG!!! I am not quite there yet, although I am not sleeping and I am making "to do" lists in the middle of the night!! How moi! It's very humid and we have no air conditioner right now, so I think that I am looking forward to our first night in the hotel, which will be Wednesday. I will sleep then. Even though the movers are moving us, there is still much to do to stay organized so that things go smoothly on the other end. I am not sure when we are computerless and I will let y'all know my email and new address and phone # when we are settled. Hope to post again soon. Cheers
